Kibangu Ruge English Medium School is located in the Ubungo-Kibangu area of Ubungo district, Dar es Salaam, just over one kilometre off Mandela Road from the Riverside Trading Centre. We are within easy reach from the University of Dar es Salaam Hostels at Mabibo, on the road to Makoka.

The school is built on a strong commitment to quality primary education as the foundation upon which all other later learning can be based. It incorporates nursery and primary sections. We accept children from age three and above.

The Nursery School Section consists of three age groups. The Baby Class cares for the youngest children, aged three years on admission. The Middle Class has four year old children, while the Preparatory Class has five year olds who are getting ready to enter primary school.

The Primary School Section has children in Grade One up to Grade Seven. The school operates the standard curriculum of the Ministry of Education and is subject to the usual inspection and guidance by school inspectors. The school’s reading programme centred on a well-stocked library is a unique service among the country’s schools. The computer laboratory is the base of the school’s drive for equipping the children for the knowledge economy. The sports activities in the school courts and the nearby army soccer pitch keep the children physically fit and mentally alert.

We strive to nurture the talents that the children bring with them to school and to discover new talents as they grow in school and out of school. We serve our neighbourhood as the community’s intellectual and cultural centre.
